Sri Lanka take on Zimbabwe in the first ODI at Harare Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe lock horns in the first odi at Harare Sports Club tomorrow. Sri Lanka look firm favourites for a white wash. The team is better balanced against the minnows, who are struggling to make an impact at international level.

Zimbabwe is still struggling from a series of retirements caused by policies of Robert Mugabe regime.Racism has cast a shadow on the sport leading to white players leaving for greener pastures in the county circuit or in the ICL.

Sri Lanka on the other hand look a good unit especially after defeating India at home in the test series. They are well led by Mahela Jayawardene. With match winners like Sangakarra and Muralitharan in their ranks and the emerging ICC player of the year winner Ajantha Mendis in their ranks they will be a handful for the minnows.Sri Lanka will be looking at some young talents to come out shining in this series, whether it is in the batting or in the bowling department.

Zimbabwe will do well to just compete and win at least one out of the 5 ODI games in this series. Sri lanka are good at crushing minnows big time.It won't be a surprise if some records tumble in this series.
